The USAID Contracts and Compliance Essentials training curriculum is comprised of 11 lessons in two modules that blend video lecture and demos; visual aids; exercises; and one-on-one time with the instructor.

The first module includes 5 lessons that guides participants through the types of contract mechanisms issued by USAID; the uniform contract format; the USAID regulatory framework; the cost principles; and the basics of indirect cost rate structures.

Over the course of 6 lessons, the second module provides participants a detailed overview and an in-depth look at the day-to-day requirements they will encounter while implementing their company's USAID contract, laying out best practices for project management along the way. These requirements encompass dozens of approvals and regulations that affect key aspects of USAID projects, including personnel compensation; allowances and differentials; travel, transportation and per diem; and procurement.

As a video training series, you have the flexibility of setting your own pace and rewatching videos to reinforce concepts that might be overwhelming the first time through. Tackle the lesson quizzes when you're ready. As you journey through the course, you have a direct line of communication with the instructor at all times via email and video calls.
